As part of my first job, I lived in three different cities for two years. Here are my favorite things about Jacksonville.
- Jacksonville Airport- one of the best airports in the US. Economy lot is $5/day, the airport is small and clean, no long lines for security
- Central Library- It’s quite spectacular, people even have weddings there
- Memorial Park- a nice spot near the water
- Cummer museum of art and gardens- we never went there because of hurricane Irma but heard good things
- St. Johns Town Center- a great upscale outdoor mall
- Visit San Marco- there’s a nice strip of restaurants and a marble slab ice cream shop
- Catty Shack- A wildlife sanctuary primarily for big cats like tigers and lions. It also has other animals like foxes. Beware of the mosquitos, but I would say it is worth the visit
- Sweet Pete’s- candy shop where you can make your own confectionery creations
- Jax beach- Not the most amazing beaches, but worth visiting
- Jacksonville Symphony
- Jacksonville Jaguars Football
- Jacksonville Riverwalk
