I took a Birthright trip to Israel and for those of you who do not know, if you are 18-26, born Jewish or convert to Judaism then you can get a free trip to Israel. It was 10 days of nonstop travel, so I’ll just give the 8 highlights for this post as opposed to every single day of the trip.

1) Tel Aviv beach- the water is a perfect shade of blue and sparkles like you wouldn’t believe. It was absolutely beautiful.

2) Tel Aviv street art- I am very much into graffiti and I loved taking a street art tour.

3) Baha’i Gardens in Haifa- such a pretty view of the gardens and sea.

4) The salad trail- all the tomatoes I can eat. OMG I’m in heaven.

5) The Dead Sea- It should be once in a lifetime because that is all you need. The water really does sting, but you need to get that floating pic though. Also wear shoes! The bottom of the sea hurts your feet!

6) Camel Ride- the quintessential “I went on Birthright” picture.

7) Jerusalem Markets- a wonderful place to be. There are a lot of great food finds, and I had Yemenite food. There are some really cheap items you can buy, ranging from jewelry to toys.

8) The Western Wall- It was an incredible experience to be at the Western Wall. I had my friend put in prayers in a slightly higher place than normal.

If I could go again, I would spend more time in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
