At the Celtics training facility for a charity 3 on 3

As part of my first job, I lived in three different cities for 8 months at a time. Here are my favorite things about Boston. Note I lived in Belmont, a suburb of Boston. The Boston Metro area is very navigable on the T and is very easy to explore and find your “new favorite place”

  1. TeaDo- best milk teas ever
  2. Urban Hearth- Amazing restaurant
  3. Newbury Street- Good shopping, but I usually went straight to the back of the stores because it can be a little pricey
  4. Boston Opera House- make sure to get student pricing if you have an ID. I was able to see Rent, Miss Saigon, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, School of Rock.
  5. Cutler Majestic Theater- we saw an amazing play An Inspector Calls and we’re even featured in the “audience reacts” video you can watch here.
  6. Davis Square- good place to find reasonably priced restaurants
  7. Boston Public Library- very pretty, lots of brides take wedding pictures here and have weddings here. You can also do afternoon tea. The courtyard is also very nice
  8. Boston Public Gardens/ Boston Common
  9. Harvard and MIT’s campuses
  10. The Loeb Drama Center – I was able to see Six before it opened on Broadway there
  11. JFK presidential library- very pretty area
  12. Faneuil Hall- fun food hall
  13. Prudential Center- Nice mall with places to eat
  14. TD Garden- I saw a Celtics game and a Bruins game. Very cool stadium and atmosphere
  15. Fenway Park
  16. Freedom Trail
  17. Schuller’s- great venue for Jazz
  18. Elizabeth Gardner Museum- a place I wish I had gone
  19. Fuji- great Asian restaurant with amazing duck fried rice
  20. Boston Harbor Islands- (read more about my time here)
  21. The cape- great for riding bikes and also taking trips to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard
