Bergen

Norway was my all time favorite trip. My fiance and I went to Norway July of 2018, and rented a car and drove from Bergen to Oslo. Our first introduction to Bergen was the sign Bergen? We thought it was hilarious that a question mark was on the end of the first sign you see when you get off the plane. We made jokes like “are we in Bergen? It’s questionable.”

We explored the center of Bergen and took some nice pictures. We went to the Edvard Grieg Museum, which I highly recommend for the breathtaking scenery. We then drove through Voss, and one underrated thing about Norway is their super cool tunnels. We were a bit confused as to why it was mandatory to keep our headlights on , but soon found out that there are numerous tunnels on the journey which require headlight use.

We then took a ferry to out hotel called BesteBakken. It was absolutely phenomenal. The rooms were quaint and the breakfast was hearty. After breakfast we went to the backyard to see the alpacas. We then drove on our way to one of the fjords, and also on our way we just saw a random waterfall that I thought was gorgeous. Naturally we got out of the car and took awesome pictures, one of them being my login page.

We then made it to Oslo, where we walked around the city and saw the famous opera house. I also made sure I visited the fearless girl, a replica of the girl in New York who stands in front of the bull. Our trip was unique in the fact that we had perfect weather, and when you are in a country as breathtaking as Norway, everywhere you look is another perfect photo. The only negatives to Norway are the insane prices, but we expected it and budgeted accordingly.
